Feather River Lapidary and Mineral Club 
Description: This rockhounding club was founded in 2008 in Oroville located in northern California to promote and encourage all aspects of collecting and studying rocks, minerals, and fossils, and the pursuit of all types of lapidary and jewelry art. The club's goals are to educate members through field trips, lectures, classes, and hands-on experience about rocks and lapidary techniques. The club has a top-rated rock cutting and polishing shop for members to learn to cut, shape and polish rocks for jewelry and objects of art. Other classes and jewelry making techniques are available. Members also conduct outreach programs to schools to increase knowledge and interest to students and teachers in the local communities.

Livermore Valley Lithophiles 
Description: "Lithophiles" are rock lovers and the Livermore Valley Lithophiles is a society for people interested in any phase of the Lapidary and/or Earth Sciences. The activities range from collecting rocks and minerals, through jewelry making and our annual show "Lithorama." Monthly meetings are a time to plan field trips together, share talents in various aspects of the Lapidary and Earth Sciences, enjoy educational programs, and conduct business. Refreshments are always provided, door prizes awarded, and a raffle is usually held with rock-related gifts.

Mineral and Gem Society of Castro Valley 
Description: The Mineral & Gem Society of Castro Valley is a non-profit educational corporation. All members that run this club are volunteers and are not paid. As a member you are expected to learn how to cut a calibrated cabochon (polished gemstone) once you join before learning other lapidary skills. When you learn how to cut a cabochon, you will learn how to use some of the shops equipment. We have professional volunteer instructors to assist you in this process every step of the way so you are not alone.
