San Francisco Gem and Mineral Society 
Description: The San Francisco Gem & Mineral Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the education and enjoyment of it's members and the community at large with respect to rocks, minerals, gemstones, lapidary arts and all things related. We have monthly meetings, at the club's own clubhouse in San Francisco, featuring speakers across the spectrum at every level, from dedicated hobbyists to world-renowned experts. Feather River Lapidary and Mineral Club 
Description: This rockhounding club was founded in 2008 in Oroville located in northern California to promote and encourage all aspects of collecting and studying rocks, minerals, and fossils, and the pursuit of all types of lapidary and jewelry art. The club's goals are to educate members through field trips, lectures, classes, and hands-on experience about rocks and lapidary techniques. The club has a top-rated rock cutting and polishing shop for members to learn to cut, shape and polish rocks for jewelry and objects of art. Other classes and jewelry making techniques are available. Members also conduct outreach programs to schools to increase knowledge and interest to students and teachers in the local communities.
